CEIS introduces SecDef, an initiative dedicated to fostering innovation, bridging the gap between key stakeholder groups, and providing concrete ideas for next steps in European security and defence.
The past two years have seen the European security and defence projects make giant strides, but many details remain to work out. Now is the time for security and defence stakeholders in Europe to engage concretely into turning political orientations given by the EU’s 2016 Global Strategy into realities and look at the details of initiatives such as the European Defence Fund or the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO), the development of major new programmes such as the Future Combat Air system (FCAS), and continue to examine how new technologies will impact military operations, doctrines, counter-terrorism and border security, among many others.
CEIS is a strategic consultancy specialised in sectors of national sovereignty, in particular security and defence. Founded in 1997 in Paris, the company today counts some 80 experts and consultants across four business units serving public and private sector clients.
CEIS’s activities cover research and studies, strategy, consulting, and flagship events in our core expertise areas: besides the SecDef Conference, CEIS is behind the Universités d’Été de la Défense, the International Cybersecurity Forum (FIC), and the Dakar Forum for Peace and Security.
